Happy 2012! A week away from the office is a great way to refresh one’s creativity and clear the cobwebs. I have kept some really great articles, notes, and emails from the past year (or two or three) and made a real concerted effort to get through a lot of it. What I continue to discover is that I love to learn. After 22 years of full time work in the architectural profession with Brion– I still truly believe I have more to learn and that the best is yet to come! I cannot wait to learn more, create more, teach more, and be more. The same goes for Brion, who challenges us all to be on the cutting edge, and therefore this has become part of the fabric of our office. So, for the first blog entry of 2012, I want to explain how this thirst for knowledge translates throughout our firm and why, I believe, there is no better architectural studio to realize your dreams of a custom home – whether it be from the ground up or a remodel.

Clients that choose to work with our firm do so because our services are more comprehensive than what many other firms can offer. The quality of drawings and specifications are constantly updated to incorporate new technology and materials. We specialize in knowing everything possible about building a quality personal residence and finding out everything possible about the client to be sure that the house works for them. All of our designs are energy efficient because that is how we design period. We provide professional design services integrating all elements of the finished product: kitchen design, lighting design, theater design, landscape design, LEED, security systems, safe rooms, and specialized features created for highly individual needs. We are involved throughout the entire design, construction, and move-in process. Our client’s selection of their builder is made easily as we have attained a 30+ year working relationship with many local builders. We are only too pleased to refer and make introductions to those seasoned builders with the right experience for the project goals – or adeptly interview builders new to us if the client has a pre-existing relationship with a general contractor. Among the private home contractors in Orange County we are highly respected and regarded as the team player that makes the process of building a pleasure. This concept of a team is the root of a successful construction project and we take it seriously. We work to continuously educate ourselves and our entire staff on new construction techniques and materials. That, paired with Brion’s extensive knowledge from 30+ years of being on job sites, provides an extremely high level of comfort for our clients that we can interface on their behalf throughout the entire building process and beyond.
